The folks at Dallas’ redistricting office were kind enough to send me these maps after last night’s redistricting meeting. Pretty interesting to look at, especially as you’re thinking about how to create four or five Hispanic-dominated City Council districts and maintain four dominated by blacks.
We’ll see if the City Council, at this afternoon’s briefing, have some thoughts on it.
The first map here shows the concentrations of Hispanics throughout the city. The second, after the jump, shows the percentages of blacks.
