  3. Shannon and skip miss informed, Dez never said particular names. He only said Garrett Guys , and the person who is interviewing him bought up the fact that he wasn't a team captain. Dez handled himself very professional except for when he said garret guys, meaning coaches not players. And less be honest, dez was not the problem it was dak Prescott, he did have to many drops but other wise dak and dez were never on the same page

  4. Dez is a crybaby. He wasn't gonna be happy with a pay cut. the Cowboys knew it and cut their losses. Let him cry. The Cowboys are moving on.

  6. My cowboys didn't handle Dez right I thought they would offer him a pay cut but they got straight to the point . So it looks like we are going to take another step back next season.hope they drafts some player's who can help ASAP if not it's not it's not going to be a long season.

  9. If cowboys was going to cut him why they didn't resign bulter and then sign Allen hurns they would had have two deep wrs and they could have used draft pick on team needs now they have to use #1rd pick on a rookie wr.

  10. I luv it! They asked Dez to take a pay cut and he refused so the cowboys r like fine we're gonna wait till almost the draft and then release u after rosters have been filled out and the trainingcamps have already started 😂😂😂

  12. Teams I think Dez could go to the 49ers, Pat's, Brown's, Miami, Redskins, Titans, Baltimore, Green Bay, Minnesota, Cardinals, he could reunite with his former coordinator Sean Payton New Orleans saints, . Just my opinion

  13. The cowboys deliberately release Dez this LATE so he wouldn't be in the sweepstakes of a big money signing from another team, more or less they sabotage him. He needs to fire his current representation for not getting ahead and preventing something like this. At least they would have had the cowboys on record saying what their intentions were just as Free Agency started.

  14. The release of Dez Bryant was inevitable. This was a business decision. The NFL is a business. Could Dak Jason witten sean lee and jason garrett have wanted dez gone? Sure i do.

  15. My only problem is why didn't they do this sooner? Why keep him around for a while and then just proceed to cut him later?

  16. 50% of balls thrown to DEZ were charted as uncatchable. At the same time Dez was 4 th in league with drops so old. Nampa needs to do something though about Dallas cowboys cutting him after free agency dried up and publicly announcing they would meet with him sooner rather than later. What y'all think?

  17. Cowboys did him dirty. This should have been done around the start of free agency.

  20. The whole situation is fucked up bottomline. Too just out right cut him is crazy , a pay cut is more understandable for Dez sure is production declined this upcoming season should’ve been due or die. I wish Dez nothing but the best. #diehardcowboysfan!

  21. I’m not a Cowboys fan what so ever. But I’m so sick and tired of everyone talking about Dez isn’t what he use to b. He can’t do this r that anymore, led the league in drops. Who cares T.O. Did too. He got a gold jacket. Nobody was complaining when Romo was dropping them bombs on the “X”. Now Dak is there dez is the worse thing to happen to the boys. If dez get with a qb that can throw more than 3 and 6 yard passes r little dump offs. He’s gone b right back to catching balls off names on the back of jerseys and snatching em in the drop zone

  25. How do we know if Dez agents had a convo with Dallas or not and Shannon off on the stats, and it is about revenge on Dez part and he should want it. And skip just cause you on a team don't mean you don't like the coach he said he put up with people he didn't like for 8 7 and 4 years what interview they was watching.

  26. This wonderful for Dez! To be released from a 1-dimensional run first offense that demands that he only run a small portion of the route tree to accommodate an inexperienced QB learning his trade. Trade or cut Dez and he will immediately go to ANY one of 16 teams with an experienced QB that knows WTF he is doing and average:

    88 catches
    1200 yards
    11 TDs

over the next 3 to 5 years. But, if he goes to any one of 11 pro-bowl or elite level QBs [Brady, Brees, Rivers, Roethlisberger etc.] the averages will be greater.

As to Dez, since he is now free, I want to go on record predicting his next 5 years will surpass his 1st 5 with Romo. All Dez has to do is not talk to media at all. It's a passing league. All the rules protect the QB & WRs. Though I did not miss a Cowboys home game from 1960 to 1969 and have been a supporter all my life, I am an engineer and do not judge by emotion so I didn't watch them from 1983 till ownership change cuz I felt Landry should have been fired after losing 3 straight NFC conference championships. He was being outcoached. I supported them from 1989 till Jerry "5-title" Jones revealed his ego by firing Jimmy Johnson and hardly paid attention to them until he hired a "football guy" [Will McClay] to run scouting, drafting and logistics. Since hired in 2010, McClay has drafted more starters, pro-bowlers and all-pros than any other NFL team. I thought this would negate Jerry's penchant for grandstanding & buffoonery but I was wrong. Being:

    Director of Operations
    General Manager
    President
    Owner
    CEO

is simply not enough for someone with unquestionable business skills but also unparalleled football ignorance. He has a history of this. He once said that "500 people could coach the Dallas Cowboys" and that's why HE calls plays at times, brings entertainers or Saudi princes on the sidelines during games, holds press conferences before & after games [often deriding or contradicting his coach], hires coordinators & assistant coaches BEFORE telling the Head Coach and lets it be known that players can come to HIM…not the coach.

Bill Cowher, Jay & John Gruden spurned his offers to coach.

I played QB & FS in Pop Warner, JV & Varsity to JUCO. This is worse, much worse than firing JJ, undermining his coach, claiming expertise for what Will McClay has done or even obsessive micromanagement. Releasing Dez Bryant is criminal. The talking heads on TV are liars, sellouts or women [never played, it's entertainment to them] whose primary agenda is to drive ratings. Truth is secondary. But, the players know and after catching 57 of 161 targets [81%], only 85 of which were catchable [according to PFF] for 800+ yds and 6 TDs he will get a job. The Packers released Jordy Nelson and need a #1 as do 17 other teams but Green Bay, New Orleans, Washington, San Francisco, Seattle, Detroit, Tampa Bay, Carolina, New England, Denver and the Jets are absolutely great fits for Dez.

He was a borderline Hall of Fame WR his 1st 5 years. He didn't lose skill. He lost his QB. 5-6 years on any of the forementioned teams would rekindle that debate. I predict that the Dallas Cowboys will regress to the Dave Campo/Chan Gailey years…3 straight losing years [7-9, 5-11 & 2-14] until JJ steps down or dies because no one can admit how difficult it is to destroy, dismantle or negate what Jimmy Johnson or Bill Parcells built and what Will McClay is building!!!
But Jones has done it. He has destroyed the soul of this team [lockeroom].

    Think about that!

In Jimmy's last year, they had 9 all-pros on the offense alone! The entire offense line went to the pro-bowl in 1993. They set an NFL record for pro-bowlers and all-pros in 2007 after Parcells quit. In 2009, 2014 and 2016 they had either the best records in football or the NFC and only won ONE playoff game. No team in any sport has ever had that much demonstrated talent, young teams, loaded with great coaches or personnel men…yet…not won a single championship or appeared in a single championship game. Not one?

    It's Jerry.

I don't hate him. I admire him on many levels. The cowboys are the most lucrative sports venture ON EARTH and this is a testament to the business acumen of Mr. Jerald Jones. But, when I found out that the NFL is no longer classified as a pure sporting designation but is "entertainment" per se…my eyes were opened like the Red Sea!

It's irrelevant if they win or lose.
media, money & arbutron ratings drive the NFL.
doesn't matter if Dez caught it?
the on-going saga of the Cowboys matters.

A pretended feud between JJ & Goodell; unremitting and scandal; point-shaving via the Umpire, Referee, HL, SJ & BJ; collusion and lack of federal oversight…all garnered since the Sherman Antitrust act cannot be invoked to "entertainment"…and…voilá, we have the most profitable franchise in the most profitable sport in the world due to the longest running soap-opera on TV:

    The Dallas "by-God" Cowboys…
